Lagos, Nigeria– The city of Lagos came alive on the night of August 16, 2024, as St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Yaba, hosted the highly anticipated Extravagant Praise Concert, Season 6. From 9 pm till dawn, the church was transformed into a haven of worship, music, and divine encounters, as worshippers from all walks of life gathered for an unforgettable night of praise.

The event kicked off with a solemn yet uplifting Holy Mass, celebrated by the Parish Priest of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Yaba, Rev. Fr. Alex Agba OP., and the parish Youth Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Hamidu OP. Their powerful messages set the tone for the night, reminding all in attendance of the purpose of the gathering—to lift praises to the Almighty.
As the night progressed, the stage was graced by a lineup of talented ministers and gospel artists, each bringing their unique flavor of worship. Lamood opened the floodgates of praise with her powerful vocals for Mary, followed by the soul-stirring ministrations of Jesus Baby, Sir Jude Nnam, and Fada Fuji. The atmosphere reached a fever pitch with the electrifying performances of D.J. Zukey and A Strings, whose musical synergy left the crowd yearning for more. Moses Audu and Kelar Thrillz kept the momentum going, ensuring that the night remained a joyous celebration of faith. The choral groups—St. Dominic’s Choir, Our Lady of Holy Rosary Choir, and Sacred Heart Ojota Choir—added a traditional touch, harmonizing beautifully and uplifting the spirits of everyone present.

The Christian Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON), Clenz and DJ Xmoe continued to elevate the atmosphere, with their ministrations bringing new dimensions to the night’s worship. Victus Eze, one of the fast-growing Catholic artists gave an explosive wildcard ministration never seen before even in contemporary Nigerian gospel music genre and that really lit up the venue! Kelar Thrillz and Greatman Takit closed the event with a final surge of praise and electric dance ministrations that left the congregation in awe of the night’s spiritual impact.
